Sports Rules
- Every player will bat in the lineup each inning.
- Games will be three innings or one hour whichever comes first.
- Players will be allowed to stay on base when an out is made.
- There are no walks or strikeouts.
- No stealing. The players must stay on the base until the ball is hit.
- Scores are not kept for tee ball.
- Last batter “hits a homerun” and all runners on base come home.
- Helmets must be worn while at bat as well as for the player on deck.
- There is no minimum amount of players necessary to play a game.
- Coaches may “coach pitch” to their players for the final three games. 5 PITCHES MAXIMUM!! Then tee must be brought out.
LITTLE LEAGUE RULES TO GOVERN ALL PLAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Games will be played on T-ball Field.
- Games will consist of 4 innings or 1 hr and 15 mins, whichever comes first. (1 hour on weeknights)
- Games will be played with the #5 (softer) ball.
- No Score will be kept.
- Each inning will be made up of three outs or once through the lineup. Outs are made at the bases.
- Any runner that is put out will go to the dugout.
- Each batter will get (5) five pitches. Then the tee will be brought up. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
- Adults are only pitcher and catcher.
LITTLE LEAGUE RULES TO GOVERN ALL PLAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Games will be 5 innings or 1 hr & 20 min & finish that inning, complete drop dead time of 1 hr & 35 min, at which time the final score is taken from previously finished inning.
- * – If a game is tied before 1 hr & 20 min, one final inning may be played until the drop dead time of 1 hr & 35 min.
- Ten players will occupy the field, with four in the outfield. All players present will be included in the batting lineup.
- Each team must field at least eight players or they forfeit. Coaches will need to make every effort to play a scheduled game even if they do not have enough players. Once a forfeit is declared, please divide the remaining players and play.
- Each inning will be made up of three outs or once through the lineup. The line-up number will be based on the team that has the highest number of players. For example, if team A has 10 players and team b has 7 players, 10 players batting will constitute once through the line-up. In this example, team b would bat 10 players or until they had 3 outs, whichever comes first.
- All runs scored will count.
- Any runner that is put out will go to the dugout.
- A play is over when:
- The ball is returned to the pitcher in the pitcher’s circle.
- A batter strikes out.
- Each batter will get five pitches. If the 5th ball is fouled the batter receives another pitch. They continue to get pitched to until the last pitch goes fair or they strike out.
- Coaches must have one foot inside of the pitching circle when pitching to any batter. Exceptions can be made if batter cannot hit from that far away, but we need to continue to build towards that goal of pitching from the circle.
- A hash mark will be made midway between the bases. If a ball is returned to the pitcher before a runner crosses the hash mark, then the runner will return to their previous base. If a runner is more than halfway they will proceed to that base.
- Runners will be allowed one base on an over-throw.
- If a coach is hit by the ball from the batter, the base is awarded.
LITTLE LEAGUE RULES TO GOVERN ALL PLAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING:
- GAMES WILL BE 6 INNINGS OR 1 HR & 35 MIN & FINISH THAT INNING. A COMPLETE DROP DEAD TIME OF 1 HR & 45 MIN, IF REACHED THE FINAL SCORE WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE PREVIOUSLY FINISHED INNING.
- ALL PLAYERS PRESENT AT THE GAME WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE BATTING LINE-UP.
- A COMPLETED INNING FOR A TEAM IS THREE OUTS OR 5 RUNS SCORED. IF THE 5th RUN IS SCORED AND PLAY IS STILL LIVE, ALL RUNS COUNT UNTIL BALL IS DEAD OR PLAY IS COMPLETE. (If your team has scored 4 runs, bases loaded, kid hits a double those runs still score until play is completed or ball is dead. You would have scored 6 runs that inning.)
- FREE SUBSTITUTIONS ON DEFENSE. COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSURING THAT ALL PLAYERS PLAY A MINIMUM OF SIX (6) DEFENSIVE OUTS.
- No player goes two consecutive games without starting (unless they are late or fail to show for scheduled practices / events – Disciplinary reasons)
